Man Ignores Medicine After Dog Bite, Unaware He’ll Regret It Later.

A man gets bitten by a dog and dismisses the need for medicine, thinking it’s unnecessary. What starts as a minor injury quickly spirals into something far more serious, leaving him with devastating consequences he never anticipated.
‘SPOILER ALERT’
The movie begins with three men in a helicopter discussing their mission. The leader gives the other two a picture with people and a dog in it and tells them that the target is the K9.
He is to be captured, so they must make sure not to hurt him. One of them, confused, says that the picture is 80 years old and everyone in it is dead, but the leader grins and replies, saying not everyone is dead.
In a monastery, monks are gathered to pray. Among them is the dog from the picture, praying along with them. A kid then comes and calls for him.
The dog turns to look at an older monk for permission and then runs outside after getting approval. The kid throws a ball, and the dog runs to get it.
Suddenly, the three men from the helicopter appear and capture the dog. Elsewhere, a man named Dave Douglas steps out of his house, memorizing a speech, to pick up a newspaper.
He then sees a dog peeing on his plant and calls for the owner, Baxter, asking why his dog is peeing in his yard. He tells him he would appreciate it if the dog didn’t pee there.
Baxter retaliates, saying that Dave hates dogs, which is why he is reacting this way. Dave corrects him, saying he doesn’t hate dogs but dislikes them. He then orders Baxter to take the dog away and goes inside, reading the newspaper.
He starts to tell his wife, Rebecca Douglas, that Hollister managed to get himself in the newspaper, but then the news on the TV catches his attention.
It is about a teacher, Justin Forrester, who has been arrested for arson, and today is his first trial. People are outside protesting the arrest.
Dave angrily shuts off the TV and keeps reading his newspaper. Rebecca then reminds him about their son Josh’s parent-teacher conference and that he is supposed to take him.
Dave reminds her that he is starting a trial today, so he can’t, but she insists that he take him, and he finally agrees. Josh then joins them in the kitchen for breakfast.
After him comes their daughter Carly, wearing a T-shirt that says Free Justin Forrester. He asks her to take the shirt off, but she answers sarcastically, asking if he has dropped the case.
In court, Dave starts his opening statement. He tells the jury that the fire Forrester started destroyed a lab where many useful products are made.
He repeatedly emphasizes that the damage caused has resulted in significant financial loss and inconvenience. By the end of his speech, most of the jury is convinced by him.
When he steps out of the trial, journalists from different channels surround him, asking questions about the case. He answers some of them before managing to get away.
A man then approaches to compliment him on his opening statement, and Dr. Kozak also joins them. Dave apologizes for not putting him on the stand, but Kozak brushes it off, saying his time will come. He then assures Dave that he is sure to become the next DA.
After that conversation, Kozak meets a man named Mr. Strictland. After exchanging greetings, Strictland asks if he has unlocked the dog’s secret. Kozak suggests they talk in the elevator and begins explaining as they head to the lab.
He asks if Strictland is familiar with the concept of dog years. When Strictland admits he isn’t, Kozak explains that dogs age seven years for every human year.
However, in the case of the dog they stole from Tibet, a genetic mutation has reversed the equation—he lives seven years for every human year. Now, he is over 300 years old.
If they extract his gene and apply it to humans, they could potentially extend human lifespans to over 700 years.
Two lab technicians inform them that they were able to isolate the gene quickly, but they haven’t been able to viralize it outside the dog’s body. As a result, they had to viralize his entire genetic code in a corpse.
This makes his bodily fluids dangerous, but only if they enter the bloodstream would they cause serious problems.
They then begin showing them their progress. They experimented on different animals, and Kozak shows Strictland a snake that was injected with the dog’s sample when it was near death. The cells stopped aging, and now the snake is getting stronger.
Strictland notices a dog’s tail growing from the snake and asks about it. Kozak dismisses it as a minor side effect. However, Strictland doesn’t underestimate it the way Kozak does—he sees it as a major problem.
As they talk, Kozak receives a call and steps out to witness a protest against the Grant and Strictland facility.
The protestors accuse them of violating animal rights and demand that Forrester be freed, claiming he was fighting for animal rights. Kozak demands that they be arrested, but Dave advises him that it’s better not to give them attention.
Kozak walks back inside, and Dave spots Carly among the protestors. He asks to talk to her and pulls her up from the ground where she was lying. He orders her to go home, but she insists on staying.
However, when Dave turns serious, she angrily walks away with her boyfriend, Trey. Inside the lab, the two lab technicians, Larry and Gwen, return to the dog to take a blood sample.
Gwen takes the sample and places the syringe next to her, but the dog suddenly gets up and grabs it. Both of them are startled but hesitate to get close since he is holding the syringe.
The dog then gets into the elevator and escapes. At the same time, Carly and Trey break into the lab to find evidence supporting their claims that the facility is experimenting on animals.
As they search, they stumble upon the dog and take him to their car before driving away. Kozak returns to the lab and realizes the dog has escaped.
Frustrated, he takes his anger out on Gwen and Larry, reminding them that if they have no dog to experiment on, they won’t have jobs.
Back home, Dave walks in to find his family gathered for dinner. He apologizes for being late and goes to get his food.
Rebecca tells him he missed the parent-teacher conference, and he turns to explain that it slipped his mind. However, he freezes when he sees the dog. He immediately starts pulling him out of the house, insisting that a dog cannot live there.
The family protests against this idea, including Rebecca. They tell Dave that the dog’s name is Shaggy and that they want him to stay, but Dave refuses to listen to their pleas.
As they argue, the dog pushes him away and runs to the pile of newspapers. He then pulls out a newspaper and places it in front of Dave. Ignoring this, Dave keeps pulling him by the collar.
However, the dog bites him, and its fluid enters Dave’s bloodstream. Dave calls animal rescue, and the dog is taken away.
Later, while he is in his home office, Rebecca comes in to ask about his bitten hand. He assures her that he is fine, but he starts speaking strangely.
She then tells him that Josh is failing math and that he needs to pay more attention to his family. She reminds him that he has become isolated from them because of his work, and that isn’t right.
Dave apologizes repeatedly and promises to make amends. He then suggests they go out for their anniversary the next day. They hug, but Dave starts acting oddly, scratching his head like a dog.
The next morning, Rebecca wakes up to find Dave sleeping at her feet. He gets up and puts on his robe. When he sees the robe belt, he instinctively tries to chase it, like a dog chasing its tail. He then keeps talking about going to the park and running.
He goes to the shower, and when he gets out, instead of using a towel, he shakes his body to dry off. As he gets dressed, he suddenly hears loud music coming from Josh’s room, which disturbs him. He runs to the room and shuts it off, complaining that it’s too loud.
He then heads to the kitchen, where his sense of smell has become incredibly sharp. He starts sniffing the air and correctly identifies each food being made.
Sitting with Josh for breakfast, he tries to talk to him about his grades. But when he drinks his tea, he laps it up with his tongue curled backward like a dog.
When he eats his cereal, he shoves his face into the bowl, eating like a dog. Josh watches him, confused. After finishing, Dave goes to Rebecca to say goodbye, but instead of kissing her, he licks her.
As soon as he steps outside, he catches the scent of a dog and finds Baxter’s dog in his yard. Instinctively, he chases him away. He then gets into his car and starts driving, but he sticks his head out of the window like a dog.
At one point, he comes face to face with another dog doing the same thing from another car window.
During the trial, Kozak is on the stand. Dave’s secretary hands him a paper to pass to Kozak, but instead of using his hands, he takes it with his mouth and refuses to let go.
Kozak, weirded out by Dave’s behavior, snatches the paper from him, looking unsettled. Kozak starts talking about the fire again, and the opposing attorney stands up to object.
Dave then turns to her and starts growling, making everyone uncomfortable. The judge asks if he just growled at the attorney.
Dave quickly drinks some water but then starts growling at the judge. Shocked, the judge asks what is going on with him, and suddenly, Dave begins barking.
The judge, now completely bewildered, orders a recess and tells him to go to the bathroom. Dave goes to the bathroom to wash up.
As he removes the bandage from his bite, he instinctively starts licking the wound but stops when he realizes people are watching.
He then goes to the urinal, but instead of standing normally, he lifts his leg and pees like a dog. The man next to him looks at him in shock. After this, Dave walks out and tells his secretary that he needs to leave.
He heads to the animal shelter where Shaggy was taken. He asks if Shaggy has rabies, but the worker assures him that he doesn’t.
He asks to see the dog and walks to the area where the animals are kept. On the way, he sees a woman holding a cat and growls at her before moving on.
When he finds Shaggy, he struggles to focus because he can hear all the other dogs barking at the same time. Suddenly, he realizes he can understand them.
He asks Shaggy why he bit him and if he was sent for a reason. As he looks straight into Shaggy’s eyes, something strange happens—Dave transforms into a dog that looks exactly like Shaggy.
Dave stands there, unaware that he has changed. The shelter worker sees him and assumes he is a stray that escaped from the cages. He tries to catch him with a rope, but Dave panics and runs, managing to escape.
He keeps running until he reaches a large mirror. At first, he assumes it’s a plasma screen, but then he realizes—he is actually a dog.
At the same time, Gwen and Larry arrive at the shelter, reporting that their dog is missing. They describe Shaggy, and the worker takes them to his cage, assuming they are his rightful owners.
Dave runs home but struggles to open the door without human hands, so he rings the doorbell. Carly opens the door and sees him standing there. Thinking he is Shaggy, she pets him before letting him inside, where Josh joins them.
Dave keeps saying, I’m Dad, but all they hear is barking. Frustrated that they don’t understand him, he takes letters from a crossword puzzle and starts spelling out I AM DAD, but Carly gathers the letters and puts them back in the box.
She then tells Josh she is leaving to get a tattoo with Janey. Hearing this, Dave runs outside and scares Janey away. Carly and Josh come out and scold him. He tries to tell them they are grounded, but again, all they hear is barking.
Carly, thinking he is acting strange, decides to send him back to the shelter. Hearing this, Dave quickly starts acting playful, rolling around on the grass. Josh then suggests taking him to the dog park so he can play with other dogs.
At the park, Dave tries talking to the other dogs and asks if a human has ever turned into a dog before. But before he can get an answer, Josh throws a frisbee. Dave instinctively runs after it, catches it, and brings it back. Without realizing it, he starts playing frisbee with Josh.
While they play, Josh talks to a girl from his school, and they argue about something, leaving Josh upset.
Back at the lab, Shaggy is put back in a cage, and Larry and Gwen prepare to continue experimenting on him.
Meanwhile, Dave and Josh return home. Rebecca tells the kids that their dad was supposed to cook tonight, but since he isn’t there, they’ll have to manage without him.
Dave rushes to his office and starts typing a message, explaining that he didn’t cook dinner because he turned into a dog.
But before he can finish, Carly shuts the computer without reading it. Later, Rebecca takes Dave to the garage to sleep.
The next morning, Dave wakes up as a human again. He rushes to the bedroom and tries to tiptoe inside, but he accidentally wakes Rebecca. She groggily asks where he has been all night.
Dave tells Rebecca that he turned into a dog, but Rebecca obviously doesn’t believe him and kicks him out of the bedroom.
The next day, Dave goes back to the office and asks his secretary to do some research for him. He asks if she has ever heard of a man turning into a dog. She tells him she’s never heard of such a case, so he asks her to look into it for him.
As he walks, he stumbles upon Ken, and they get into the elevator together. Ken tells him he was disappointed that he left court so abruptly.
Dave explains that he was sick and had to leave. Meanwhile, some security guards walk in with a dog, standing behind Ken and Dave. The dog starts sniffing Dave from behind.
He gets uncomfortable at first, but then tries to stand still so he doesn’t seem weird. His tongue then starts sticking out. He presses his tongue against the roof of his mouth and quickly gets out of the elevator.
Noticing his odd behavior, Ken asks if he is well enough to go to court today. Dave confirms that he is.
In court, Forrester testifies about what he saw in the lab that day. He claims there was a monkey that barked like a dog and a snake that had a dog’s tail.
The jury laughs, thinking he’s lying, but Dave takes a sudden interest because what Forrester describes is exactly what is happening to him.
Dave starts asking more questions and inquires about the dog he saw. Forrester describes the dog as a sheepdog, and Dave realizes that Shaggy is the dog he’s talking about.
After finishing his questioning, the trial ends for the day, and Dave goes to Josh’s school. The teacher tells him that Josh was an excellent student until recently, but now he is failing his exams and struggling.
Dave tries to explain that he hasn’t been spending enough time with his family, which might be why Josh is struggling. He admits that he has been too busy with work.
Hearing this, the teacher agrees that work can take away family time. She then mentions that she hasn’t eaten all day, so she takes out her lunch and starts eating.
Seeing this, Dave suddenly starts acting erratically, sniffing from a distance, and correctly identifying her sandwich as turkey.
Surprised, the teacher offers to share half of it with him, but Rebecca looks at him questioningly. Dave quickly refuses, insisting he’s serious about talking about Josh.
However, as they continue, he notices a cat standing by the window. He immediately stands up and rushes out of the office, chasing after the cat.
Running on all fours like a dog, he stumbles into people and traffic as he follows the cat across the street. The cat runs into an alley, and Dave follows, but when he looks down at his reflection in a puddle, he realizes he has turned into a dog again.
At that moment, animal rescue arrives and catches the cat. Dave mocks it, but he too is captured and taken away.
In the lab, Gwen and Larry inform Kozak that they have made a discovery. The new rabbit they injected with the gene is doing fine with no visible side effects. This makes Kozak happy.
Meanwhile, Josh and Carly go to the animal shelter and pick up their dad, thinking he is Shaggy. They take him to Josh’s football game, where he sits next to Josh.
The coach calls Josh to play. but Josh hesitates, saying he doesn’t want to. The coach insists, forcing him to participate. Once on the field, Josh plays terribly.
Dave watches in confusion because he always thought Josh was good at football. When Josh returns to the bench, his teammates make fun of him. Dave barks at them, scaring them away.
As they walk, Josh’s friend Tracy approaches, and they start talking about the game. Frustrated, Josh admits that he can’t quit football because his dad wants him to be on the team.
He then reveals that his dad threatened to take him off the team if he didn’t improve his grades, so he deliberately started playing badly to get out of it. Tracy looks confused and asks why he would ruin his future just to quit the team.
Dave hears all of this while sitting beside them and feels bad about what his son is going through. Back at home, Carly and Trey are in her room, and Dave gets angry that Trey is in Carly’s room.
He barges in and sits between them. As they talk, Dave overhears that they stole Shaggy from the lab, but before he can react, Trey kicks him out of the room, leaving him standing in the hallway.
He then hears Josh telling Tracy that they should order food since their parents aren’t home for dinner. That’s when Dave suddenly remembers—it’s his and Rebecca’s anniversary.
Realizing he completely forgot, he panics. With no other choice, he grabs a rose in his mouth and runs to the restaurant as a dog.
At the restaurant, Rebecca is sitting alone, waiting for Dave. When she looks outside, she sees Shaggy standing there with a rose in his mouth. She walks out, puts him in the car, and calls Dave, leaving him a voicemail.
She asks why he sent a dog with a rose instead of telling her he wasn’t coming. She also wants to know why he canceled their date. Clearly upset, she says they need to have a serious conversation.
Dave tries to comfort her, but as a dog, there’s nothing he can do. Later that night, Rebecca brings him home, puts him in the garage, and leaves him to sleep there.
After some time, Dave turns back into a human. He quickly gets dressed, leaves a note for Rebecca, and rushes to see Ken.
He tries to tell him that Forrester was telling the truth about the lab, but Ken informs him that Justin has already pleaded guilty and that the case is closed. After this conversation, Dave heads straight to the lab.
Dave tries to sneak into the lab, but he is too big to fit through the narrow space. He decides to turn back into a dog. Looking around, he sees a homeless man with a cart and approaches him.
He asks the man if he can throw a stick. The man hesitates, confused by the request, but Dave offers him 5 dollars for it.
The man agrees and throws the stick. Dave fetches it and brings it back, then asks him to throw it again. When he does, Dave transforms into a dog. Now small enough to fit, he sneaks into the lab.
Meanwhile, Kozak, Gwen, and Larry prepare to inject Shaggy’s serum into Strickland. They administer the injection, and Strickland immediately starts having seizures.
Confused, Gwen and Larry panic, but Kozak calmly tells them he did it on purpose—he can’t stand Strickland and wants to take his place. He explains that the serum won’t kill him, but it will impair his ability to speak, making it seem like he has dementia.
As this unfolds, Dave watches them from the rooftop. Suddenly, he makes a noise, alerting Kozak. Gwen and Larry rush to catch him, but when they reach the spot, he is gone.
Escaping, Dave runs toward his car, only to realize he can’t drive because he’s still a dog. Left with no choice, he continues on foot.
Inside the lab, the three of them review the security footage and realize the dog is actually Dave.
The next morning, Rebecca wakes up and finds a note made by roses on the bed that says, I love you. Downstairs, the kids are worried, thinking their parents are going to split up because Dave didn’t come home.
At this time Dave comes back home and the kids let him in thinking he is shaggy. Carly tells Josh that their mom wants to have the talk with their dad, and the next step will probably be a divorce.
Hearing this, Dave, still in dog form, panics. He quickly takes the letter tiles from a board and rearranges them to spell I AM DAD.
Carly sees this and starts piecing things together. She remembers stealing Shaggy from the lab, where Kozak and the others were accused of mutating animals, so it makes sense that her dad could have turned into a dog.
Realizing the truth, she leaves a message for their mom. Meanwhile, Josh realizes Dave had overheard everything he said about football.
Wanting to reassure him, Dave runs to the bookshelf, pulls out a music book, and gives it to Josh—his way of approving his son’s passion for music. He also grabs an academic book, reminding Josh that he still needs to focus on school.
As this happens, Carly sends Rebecca a message, telling her she has figured everything out and needs her to come back. Outside, Dave hears a song playing in the distance and is briefly distracted, but before he can react, he is captured by Larry and Gwen.
When Josh and Carly go outside, they see Gwen and Larry but don’t realize they have taken their dad. Back at the lab, Kozak prepares to experiment on Dave. He announces that he will kill him, but first, he wants to study how he is able to transform back into a human.
Dave bites Kozak, but Kozak dismisses it, thinking the wound is too small to be of any concern. However, as soon as he gets into the elevator, he starts scratching himself like a dog, showing early signs of transformation.
Meanwhile, in the cage, Dave tries to communicate with Shaggy, asking why he bit him. But since Shaggy is just a dog, he can’t answer. Suddenly, all the animals start making noises.
Carly calls Trey, and the three of them decide to break into the lab to rescue their dad. Inside the lab, every dog begins to meditate, following Shaggy’s lead.
Suddenly, Dave transforms back into a human again. Now, the only problem is escaping the cage. He asks the animals for help, and they work together.
The snake slithers through the bars and passes the key to Dave, who unlocks the cage. He then opens the air vent and begins freeing the animals.
Just as he is about to escape, he is caught by Gwen and Larry, who electrocute him and put him back in the cage.
Outside, Carly, Trey, and Josh arrive just as Shaggy escapes. They see him running toward them and assume it’s their dad. They quickly put him in the car and drove away.
Back in the lab, Gwen and Larry prepare to resume their experiment on Dave, but the monkey they had previously experimented on returns and electrocutes both of them, allowing Dave to escape.
Carly and Trey take Dave to Rebecca and explain everything they know, insisting that their dad turned into a dog. Rebecca doesn’t believe them at first. They try to prove it by having Shaggy type on the computer, but since he’s only a dog, he can’t type like Dave did before.
At this time, Dave calls Rebecca, but she still doesn’t understand what’s going on. Finally, he decides to tell her everything in person and agrees to meet her at the courthouse. All the animals he rescued from the lab are in the car with him.
Rebecca finally remembers everything—Dave had told her he turned into a dog. Realizing he was telling the truth, she decides to go to the courthouse to meet him as he said.
Meanwhile, Dave keeps driving with the animals in his car, all of them touching things and causing chaos.
At the courthouse, the trial is about to start, but Dave is stuck in traffic. Knowing he won’t make it in time, he decides to leave the car and run on foot. As he runs, he quickly transforms into a dog. Now, as a dog, he can weave through traffic easily.
Rebecca and the kids wait outside the courthouse, holding Dave’s clothes as he had asked. They wait hopefully, and soon they see Shaggy and another dog running together. They quickly realize that the new dog is actually Dave.
Dave runs straight to Rebecca and starts barking, trying to say, I love you. As soon as he does, he transforms back into his human form. His family quickly hands him his clothes, and he gets dressed before rushing inside the courtroom.
Once inside, Dave runs to Ken and asks for one more chance to speak. He then asks the judge to put Kozak back on the stand. The judge, already frustrated by Dave’s strange behavior, reluctantly agrees but warns him that this is his last chance.
Dave begins questioning Kozak about his experiments. He asks him about the drug that extends human life and about his partnership with Strickland, trying to provoke him into talking.
However, Kozak starts acting strangely, displaying dog-like behavior. The two of them start growling at each other.
Seeing this, the judge grows increasingly irritated. Finally, she orders security to remove Dave from the courtroom.
As they try to kick him out, Dave suddenly grabs a police officer’s baton and waves it like a stick. Instinctively, Kozak jumps to catch it like a dog. Realizing what he just did, he quickly tries to act normal, but it’s too late.
The jury is stunned. To make matters worse, Kozak then turns and licks a child sitting behind him.
With this final act, Dave announces to the court that Kozak has undergone genetic mutation, and he can prove it. The judge, seeing enough evidence, orders Kozak’s immediate arrest.
As they leave the courtroom, Ken apologizes to Dave for doubting him. Dave then reunites with his family and apologizes to Rebecca. He reassures them that everything is over and surprises them with the news that they are going on a vacation.
Afterward, they head to the beach, where they all relax, play, and enjoy their well-deserved break.
Dave’s journey proves that neglecting family can make you lose more than just time—it can cost you everything. And Kozak’s story serves as a reminder that trying to control life doesn’t make you invincible; it makes you the test subject.
