But with new adventures come unexpected dangers, and they must unlock the secrets of this world before it’s too late.

‘SPOILER ALERT’

A girl named Wendy starts packing her bags to prepare for her trip to boarding school the next day. While she’s doing this, her mom, Mrs. Darling, tells her to make sure she packs everything she needs so that she’ll be able to leave the house early the next day. Wendy says she will, and as she heads to her room, she sees her brothers, Michael and John, pretending to be in a sword fight as Peter Pan and Captain Hook, who are two characters from their favorite story.

While packing her things, Wendy looks out of the window and seems sad that she’ll be leaving her house and heading to a boarding school. She eventually looks happy when she hears her brothers talking about Peter Pan and his lost boys going up against Captain Hook. Wendy then takes one of their toy swords and joins the fight to defeat John, who is pretending to be Captain Hook.

During the fight, Wendy mistakenly knocks John’s sword to break a mirror, and their dad, Mr. Darling, hears this. As he enters the room and sees the broken mirror, he looks disappointed and says he can’t believe that the kids have broken yet another one. He then asks who is responsible for it, and John looks at Wendy.

She seems pissed by this, and she denies having anything to do with the broken mirror. She adds that her brothers are responsible for it because they were the ones playing a silly game. As they’re about to argue about it, Mr. Darling stops them and collects their toy swords.

He also tells their dog, Nana, to follow him out of the room. Wendy looks disappointed and asks if Nana can stay with them for the night, but Mr. Darling says she can’t. He then looks at Wendy and asks if she wants to spend her last night at the house getting into trouble.

Wendy says she was just having fun, and Mr. Darling mentions that she’s too old to be playing around with toy swords. As he walks out of the room, John asks why Wendy tried to blame him and Michael for breaking the mirror, and she says she was only trying to defend herself. John looks disappointed to hear this, but he doesn’t say anything.

After a while, Wendy stands in front of the cracked mirror to see how a pair of earrings looks on her. Mrs. Darling sees her doing this, and she says that the earrings suit Wendy. She adds that Wendy should definitely take them to her boarding school, but she says she’d rather not. As she then walks away, Mrs. Darling goes to tuck the boys into bed. While she’s at it, John says he wasn’t responsible for what happened earlier, and Michael asks why Captain Hook hates Peter Pan.

Mrs. Darling says it’s a good question, and that she’ll tell him the answer the next day. Mrs. Darling then goes to meet Wendy to tell her that she needs to be a good role model to her siblings because they look up to her. Wendy says that her mom and dad should be their role models, but Mrs. Darling mentions that it’s quite different.

She adds that Wendy is their big sister, and she’ll always be able to give the boys something their parents can’t. Wendy asks how she’s supposed to be a good role model from boarding school, and Mrs. Darling says she can start by choosing to leave with her head held high. She adds that Wendy needs to understand that if a girl is lucky at a certain age, she’s sent to school to prepare her for the next stage of her life.

She says it’s what she did, but Wendy mentions that she doesn’t want that life. Mrs. Darling then asks Wendy what she’s scared of, and she says she just wants things to stay the way they currently are. Mrs. Darling says that things can’t always be the same because Wendy is growing up.

Wendy says she doesn’t want to grow up, but her mom mentions that time will keep moving on whether she likes it or not, and that she has to accept it because there’s so much she can do in the world. She then sings a lullaby to help the kids sleep before she heads out. Later that night, a fairy named Tinker Bell suddenly appears in front of their room window.

After she makes her way in, she finds Wendy’s bed and sprinkles some pixie dust on her. This makes Wendy start levitating off her bed, but before Tinker Bell does anything else, John captures her. Wendy falls down in the process, and as she asks what’s going on, John and Michael inform her that she was flying. She looks confused by this, but John shows her the fairy. As the kids wonder if she’s a bug, a boy named Peter appears in the room and frees Tinker Bell while saying she’s a fairy.

The kids look shocked to see him, and it doesn’t take long for them to realize that he’s Peter Pan. Wendy says she always thought he would look smaller, but she quickly clarifies that she didn’t mean it as an insult. She also asks how Peter is real because she thought he was just a bedtime story. Peter asks why he can’t be both, and he mentions that he actually likes hearing stories about himself. After he mentions that their mom is quite a good storyteller, he starts looking around for something.

The kids don’t understand why he’s scattering their room, and Wendy asks what he came for. Peter then mentions that he came to get her out of the house and also find his shadow. Wendy looks shocked by this, but she eventually notices that Peter’s shadow left his body and is now running around. As he follows it, Wendy and her brothers also try to help Peter catch his shadow. After he eventually captures it, he tries to fix his shoe, and Wendy offers to help him do it using a needle.

Tinker Bell pushes the needle away, but Peter tells her not to worry because he’s sure that Wendy won’t hurt him. As she starts sewing up his shoe, Wendy asks how he knew her name, and he says he always hears her mom calling her every time she wants her to go to school or do other things in the house. He adds that he didn’t just let himself into the house because he was waiting to hear her say that she doesn’t want to grow up.

Suddenly, she mistakenly stabs his foot with the needle, and Peter accuses her of trying to hurt him. Wendy says she didn’t mean it, but Peter still looks hurt by what she did. After he feels better, he mentions that it’s time for them to go to a place where people can really be themselves.

He adds that the place has no rules, schools, or parents, and the best thing about it is that there’s nothing like growing up over there. Wendy asks if he’s talking about a place called Neverland, and he confirms this. Wendy and her brothers are unsure if it’s a real place, and they ask how it’s possible to go there.

Peter then takes them outside and tells them to fill their minds with happy thoughts. The kids sound confused, but Peter tells Tinker Bell to blow some pixie dust on them while they only think of happy things. As they do this, they start flying, and Peter takes them to Neverland. As they get there, one of Captain Hook’s men sees Peter arriving and goes to inform his boss. When he gets to Hook’s cabin and mentions Peter’s name, Hook shoots him and says he never wants to hear that name.

Interestingly, Captain Hook happens to be an evil pirate in Neverland, and one of the rules he has given his men is to never mention Peter’s name because they’re enemies. It also turns out that Peter actually cut off one of his hands, which has now been replaced with a hook. Since he’s still looking for his nemesis, Hook tells his assistant, Smee, to give him his telescope.

After he does this, Hook sees Peter flying around Neverland. Smee then asks what Hook wants them to do about Peter, and he says they have to bring him down and invite him for tea. Hook’s men sound happy about this because their boss wants them to shoot down Peter. While Peter and the kids are still flying around, Hook and his men start shooting at them.

Peter manages to get Wendy and her brothers to hide behind a rock, and as they ask what’s happening, he mentions that they’re under attack from the pirates. As he then talks about a plan to get past Hook and his men, their hiding spot gets blasted, and they fall into the sea. Shortly after, Wendy finds herself on the shore and notices that her brothers are missing.

She also sees Peter’s hat on the ground and wonders where he and her brothers could be. As she runs around to find them, a group of kids led by a girl named Tiger Lily shows up behind her. Interestingly, they happen to be Peter’s group of Lost Boys, and they see Wendy holding Peter’s hat.

As they nearly attack her because they believe she has done something evil to Peter, she denies this and tells them that he was the one who brought her and her brothers to Neverland. The Lost Boys know who Wendy is because Peter has talked about her before, and as they ask what happened, she tells them about the pirates. She also mentions that she’s looking for her brothers, and coincidentally, Peter’s boys see Michael and John being taken away to Hook’s ship.

Almost immediately, Smee takes Michael and John to meet Hook. He then mentions that even though he doesn’t know what the boys are up to, he believes they could be Peter’s friends. This sounds interesting to Hook, and while the kids are looking scared, he says he can hear something strange. Suddenly, he finds a small clock inside John’s pocket and looks pissed. He then instructs Smee to tell the boys his rules, and he mentions that Hook doesn’t like clocks.

Following this, Hook destroys the clock and asks the boys how they came to Neverland. As Michael is about to say Peter’s name, Smee warns him not to. John then mentions that he doesn’t care about the rules, and he says that they came to Neverland with Peter Pan. Hook and Smee are shocked by this, but Michael also mentions that Peter will rescue them. Hook doesn’t seem to care, and he heads out of his cabin to announce to his men that they’re going to a place called Skull Rock.

Hook’s men celebrate this, and as the Lost Boys notice that they’re headed to Skull Rock, they tell Wendy that they only go there when there’s an execution. Since this means that her brothers will be killed, Wendy looks really scared. After a while, Tiger Lily takes Wendy and the Lost Boys to Skull Rock.

When they get there, they hide in a cave and see Hook chaining Michael and John to a rock. As he and his men jubilate as they’re about to kill the boys because they believe that children shouldn’t be allowed in Neverland, Hook notices that one of his pirates looks different. The strange pirate reveals himself as Peter, and this leaves Smee and Hook shocked.

Peter then knocks down Hook’s men into the river before facing Hook to fight him. While they’re fighting, Tiger Lily and Wendy try to release Michael and John, but they realize that the chains are actually very strong. Luckily, Tinker Bell is around, and she uses her magic to free Michael and John.

As Wendy looks happy, Peter gets distracted when he sees her, and he says he didn’t know she was alive. Almost immediately, Hook manages to knock down Peter, but he refuses to surrender. He then tells Hook to kill him, but before he can do that, Wendy stops him.

Hook looks shocked to see her, and as he asks who she is, she says she’s from a place called London, where gentlemen don’t harm children. Hook doesn’t seem to care, and he mentions that Peter isn’t a child. As he says he’s also not a gentleman, he tells her to say goodbye to Peter. Before he tries to kill Peter again, he realizes that he’s standing on a crocodile.

He nearly gets eaten by the crocodile, but as it attacks one of his men, Hook manages to escape. Peter also gets Wendy and the others out of Skull Rock, and as they land safely, he smiles at Hook, who barely makes it out and is now hanging on to a boat to escape from the Island. Peter then turns to Wendy to talk about how he enjoyed what just happened, but she slaps him, and this leaves him confused.

Peter says he thought she liked adventures, but Wendy mentions that she’s not interested in the ones that involve being shot at by pirates. Peter still doesn’t think he did anything wrong, and he brags about how he saved the day. Wendy thinks it was easy for him because he had help from Tinker Bell and his Lost Boys.

She adds that she doesn’t think Peter will be able to defeat Hook on his own, but he says he can. He also mentions that it’s how things have always been, and that he’ll keep defeating Hook anytime they fight. Tiger Lily asks what will happen if things change, but Peter says that things always remain the same in Neverland.

As he walks away, some of the Lost Boys tell Wendy that Peter is not really correct about things remaining the same in Neverland. Wendy is confused by this, but one of them tells her that Hook wasn’t always an evil person. Wendy is shocked to hear this, but she just keeps following the Lost Boys until they get to their home.

As they all go inside with Michael and John, Wendy waits outside and asks Tiger Lily if she isn’t going to join them. Tiger Lily says it’s not her home, and that she also knows it’s not Wendy’s home. Wendy says she’s not sure where her home is or where she wants it to be, but Tiger Lily mentions that she’ll eventually figure it out.

After Wendy enters the house, she looks amazed by how it looks, and one of the Lost Boys tells her that Peter was the one who found the place. He also mentions that Peter found all the Lost Boys the same way he found Wendy. After a while, the Lost Boys tell Wendy to read a bedtime story to them.

As she sits with them, though, she turns her attention to Peter and asks how he and Hook first met. Peter says they met in Neverland and engaged in a duel that made Hook lose his hand. Wendy says she doesn’t want to hear what’s in the regular bedtime story, and that she wants to know more about them, and if they have parents.

Peter says there are no parents in Neverland, and the Lost Boys confirm this. As one of them suggests making Wendy their mom, she says it’s not possible because she’s still young, and she has her own mom. The Lost boys then talk about how they can’t remember their moms, and Wendy says she’s sure they miss their kids.

As one of the boys says he wouldn’t mind seeing his mom again, Peter sounds angry and says that if they all go back home, they wouldn’t be able to have fun. He adds that they won’t go on any adventures, and all that will be left for them is to grow up. He then flies to his room and slams the door angrily. The kids look sad because they don’t like when Peter is angry, and Wendy suggests singing a lullaby to help them sleep. As she sings it, the kids fall asleep, but Hook also hears the song from where he is, and he figures out that Peter is likely nearby.

After all the kids are asleep, Tinker Bell takes Wendy to meet Peter so they can talk. As he sees her, he flies away, but Wendy tells him not to be like that. Peter then says he thought they would be friends, but they’ve just been fighting. Wendy asks if it’s just like how he and Hook always fought when they were friends, and Peter mentions that they were actually best friends. He adds that Hook was the first Lost Boy who came to Neverland.

Wendy asks what happened to their friendship, and Peter mentions that Hook just left one day because he felt Neverland wasn’t enough for him. He also mentions that when Hook came back, he changed and was very cruel and evil. Wendy asks if he was really evil or if he just grew older, but Peter says there’s no difference between the two.

He then says he doesn’t want Wendy to leave so that she won’t end up like Hook, but she asks what will become of her if she stays. Peter says she’ll be herself without having to change, but Wendy doesn’t want this. Peter says he thought she’d be happy in Neverland, but Wendy says it’s not what she expected, and that it feels too real.

Peter looks sad to hear this, and he decides to stop talking to her. When Wendy gets back downstairs, she sees that the kids are missing. Suddenly, she realizes that they’ve been captured by Hook and his men. As she also gets seized, Hook mentions that her song was what led him to his old home. Wendy tries to warn Peter that Hook is around, but her mouth is covered to stop her from saying anything.

Just as Hook goes to the room upstairs, Peter notices that he’s around, and he quickly hides. Hook then talks about how he and Peter used to play hide and seek in the house. As he says that Peter was always good at hiding and that he himself was just as good at seeking, Hook finds his old friend and stabs him with his sword.

Peter is shocked by this, and he falls down to the living room. Tinker Bell tries to save him, but she’s unable to touch him before he falls. Wendy and the other kids see this, and they look sad while Hook mentions that he has killed Peter. Shortly after, he leaves the house with Wendy and the kids. When they get to the ship, Hook locks them in a cell.

After a while, he asks Wendy about the song she was singing because it reminds him of something. Wendy doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but she mentions that her mom always sang the same song to her as a lullaby. Interestingly, it turns out that Hook’s mom used to sing the lullaby to him, and that’s why it sounded familiar.

As he looks sad, Wendy says she already knows his story about how he left Neverland. Hook then mentions that Peter was the one who actually sent him away because he said he missed his mom. As he asks if it was a bad thing to miss his mom, Wendy says it’s normal.

Hook still looks sad and says he didn’t eventually find his mom after leaving Neverland, and that while he was lost, Smee found him. He then mentions that he was raised by pirates, and when he grew older, he became their captain and decided to return to Neverland. Wendy asks why he came back even though Peter sent him away, and Hook says they were friends.

Wendy says he can still be happy, but Hook doesn’t think so. He adds that everything he could have been has been reduced to his hook. As he mentions that his experience just shows what growing up looks like, Wendy disagrees with this and says he grew up wrongly, but Hook doesn’t think so.

Just then, he tells his men to execute all the kids, but Wendy begs him not to do it. He doesn’t listen to her, but as she mentions that he can kill her in place of the others, he agrees to do this. Elsewhere, Peter’s shadow releases itself and goes to inform Tiger Lily about what happened. Tiger Lily then goes to Peter’s house to revive him. After he wakes up, he asks where his Lost Boys are, and Tiger Lily says that Hook has captured them.

Peter decides to leave the house immediately, but as he tries to fly, he realizes that he can’t do that without Tinker Bell’s pixie dust. Tiger Lily then offers to take him to Hook’s ship to save his Lost boys as well as Wendy and her brothers. A while later, Hook decides to let Wendy walk off his ship so that she’ll be left to die alone in the middle of nowhere.

As she’s about to jump off the ship, Wendy decides to only think about happy moments in her life, and coincidentally, Tinker Bell breaks out of her cage. After Wendy falls off the ship, Hook notices that he didn’t hear a splash. He asks Smee and the others if they heard anything, but they also confirm that they didn’t hear a splash.

As Hook goes close to the edge to see if Wendy fell into the water, Tinker Bell’s pixie dust suddenly takes over the ship, and Wendy flies to the top. Everyone is shocked by this, and Hook says she has Peter’s magic. Wendy says the magic doesn’t belong to Peter, but Hook doesn’t seem to care.

He then mentions that she can’t do anything to him because his men are willing to lay down their lives for their captain, but Wendy asks what would happen if he doesn’t have a ship. As he wonders what she means, Wendy lifts the ship out of the water, and Hook looks shocked. He then tries to get his men to bring down the ship, but he suddenly hears Peter’s voice nearby.

Hook cannot believe Peter is alive, and as he gets off Tiger Lily’s horse, he jumps onto the ship. Hook then asks if he survived by using magic, but he says he didn’t have to use it. As he mentions that he got help from his friends, Hook challenges him to a fight, and he draws out his sword.

After they start fighting, the Lost Boys also go up against the pirates, and Wendy and her brothers join them. Tiger Lily also finds her way onto the ship to fight for Peter, and she instantly knocks down some of Hook’s men. Shortly after, Hook and Peter take their fight into a cabin, but as the ship is about to hit a rock, John and Michael quickly steer it away to an open space.

Hook’s men still don’t back down in trying to capture the kids, so Wendy turns the ship upside-down. Her brothers, the Lost Boys, and Tiger Lily find something to hold on to, but Hook’s men fall off into the sea. Hook and Peter still continue their fight until they nearly fall into the sea.

Wendy quickly saves Peter and transfers some of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust to him so he’ll be able to fly. Hook also gets stuck in a park of the ship, but as he stands up, he complains about how growing old makes him weak. He also mentions that growing old means seeing his best friend look him in the eye but still be unable to recognize him.

As they fight again, Peter says he’s the one that wanted to leave, but Hook mentions that he was just a child at the time. Peter eventually gets the upper hand in their fight, and Hook gives up and tells his old friend to kill him. Peter says he won’t do it, and he apologizes for being a bad friend. He also throws down his sword, but Hook doesn’t seem to be interested in reconciling with Peter. As he’s about to strike Peter with his sword, Wendy stops him, and he nearly falls into the sea.

Peter holds his friend’s hook to save him, but since he can’t hold on for long, he tells Hook to think happy thoughts so he can fly. Surprisingly, Hook says he doesn’t have any, and he falls into the sea after Peter mistakenly pulls his hook. Peter looks sad about this, and as Michael asks what happened, he says that Hook was his friend.

John and the Lost Boys tell him not to worry about Hook because they are also his friends, and they’ll always be there for him. Wendy then tells Peter to consider taking the Lost Boys back to their homes, and with this, he flies the ship out of Neverland. A while later, Mrs. Darling hears a strange sound in the house and comes out of her room only to see Wendy trying to close her and her brothers’ room door gently.

Mrs. Darling asks Wendy what’s going on, but she just runs to hug her mom. She then mentions that she’s ready to grow up. Mrs. Darling still hears the noise coming from her room, and as she asks what’s going on again, Wendy says it’s nothing. Her dad eventually shows up, and even though Wendy tries to stop him, he opens the door to her room and sees the Lost Boys playing around.

Mr and Mrs Darling are shocked by this, and as they ask where the kids came from, Michael says they’re from Neverland. As Mr. Darling tries to understand this, Wendy goes outside and sees Peter crying on the roof. She asks why he’s crying, and he shows her that his name is engraved on the wall.

He then mentions that Wendy’s house used to be his old home until he got into an argument with his mom, who told him to grow up. Peter says he left that day and never looked back, but Wendy believes he did, and that’s why he kept coming back. Peter then says it doesn’t matter anymore because his mom is long gone.

He adds that he’s just a story told to any kid who would listen. As he says he might come back to listen to Mrs. Darling narrate it again, Wendy suggests he stays, but Peter says there’s no point in doing that because she’ll eventually grow up. Wendy then mentions that growing up might be the biggest adventure in the world. She also mentions that there’s so much they can do in the world, but Peter still says he’s not ready to grow up. As the ship moves from where Peter left it, he flies onto it and decides to leave.

Mr and Mrs Darling and the kids see him leaving with the flying ship, and they look shocked. As Mr. Darling wonders who he is, Mrs Darling mentions that he’s Peter Pan. Just then, Wendy tells Tinker Bell to keep Peter safe, and she says she will.

After the ship leaves, Wendy writes her name on the wall next to Peter’s. Back in Neverland, Hook and Smee happen to be alive, and they hold on to some floating objects in the sea. Suddenly, Hook hears a strange sound, and as he wonders what it is, Peter arrives with the flying ship. Peter then shows himself to Hook, who looks happy and smiles because he knows that his old friend came back to save him.

Even though Wendy didn’t initially like the idea of growing up, her trip to Neverland changed her mind. She realized that growing up is just another adventure, and she even encouraged Peter to let the Lost Boys return to the real world.

Interestingly, Peter still didn’t feel ready to grow up, but he made sure he went back to save Hook despite initially resenting him for leaving Neverland in the first place. In this story, Peter and Wendy both learned that change is a natural part of life, and embracing it can lead to growth and new adventures.
